Signalling and Telecom

 
IRCON has executed a large number of Electronic (Computer Based) Interlocking and Relay based Interlocking Signallingprojects including CTC and Automatic Train protection (ATP) systems in Sri Lanka, Iraq, Iran, Malaysia, Zambia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sharjah (UAE) and India. It has also successfully executed large number of communication projects including OFC based communication networks for Si Lankan, Turkish, Zambian, Malaysian and Indian Railways.

Currently IRCON is executing railway signalling & telecom projects in Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka and India.

Signalling

 

Electronic Interlocking, Automatic Train protection alongwith provision of CTC at 06 stations in Electrified Double Track Project between Seremban to Gemas of Malaysian Railway. (2007-2013) - US$ 51.68 million.

Relay based Interlocking systemalongwithtokenless block working, Block Proving Digital Axle Counter system, LC gates protection system, IPS, and Networked Data Loggers at 26 stations of Sri Lankan Railway. (2011-2015) - US$ 64.7 million.

Electrical Signalling system for 25 stations of Iraqi Railways, (1982-88) - US$ 30 million.

Relay based Interlocking system for 25 stations with Centralized Traffic Control, Hot Box Detector, Flat Wheel Detector in Shahrood-Mashad Section of Iranian Railways (1999-2006) - US$ 25 million.

Design & Testing Support for Modernization of Signalling & Interlocking system for British Railways based at Sharjah & U.K. by deploying about 100 Signalling experts for more than one hundred thousand man-days for a decade (2001-2010) - US$ 13.8 million

Radio based CTC and Axle Counter based Block working for Zambian Railways, covering 850Km (1988-90) - US$ 7.7 millon.

Solid State Interlocking with Centralized Traffic Control, Audio Frequency Track Circuits, Axle Counter, OFC based Communication system, telephone exchanges & all other signaling & telecommunication indoor & outdoor works for 3 stations for Malaysian Railways (1999-2002) - US$ 7.75 million

Relay Interlocking at 6 stations for Bangladesh Railways (1996-98) - US$ 2 million.

Modern Signalling & Interlocking system at 12 stations situated on Akhaura – Sylhet section of East zone of Bangladesh Railways (2006-2008) – US$7.5 million.

Solid State Interlocking at 4 stations & modification of existing Mechanical Signalling at 25 stations and modification of existing Relay Interlocking at 2 stations for Bangladesh Railways (2003-04) - US$ 3.82 million.

Model Room for Bangladesh Railways (1991-92) - US$ 0.7 million

Supply of Signalling equipment to Iranian Railways (2008) – US$ 1.2 million.

Interlocking Equipment for 55 Nos. of Lifting Barriers Level Crossings for Nigerian Railways (1983) - US$1.3 million.

Design, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Signalling and Communication system for Electrified Double Track Project between Seremban to Gemas for KTMB, Malasia.

Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Signaling and Telecommunication system for railway Line from Anuradhapura to Kankesanthurai and from Medawachchiya to Talaimannar Pier in northern province of Sri Lanka.

Provision of Telephone Exchange, OFC based communication system, VHF etc. for setting up of Rail Coach Factory, Rae Bareili.

Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of electronic interlocking system at Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant, Jhalawar for RRVUNL, Jaipur.

Design, Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Electronic Interlocking based Signalling system & Telecommunication system at 3 stations in Quazigund – Ex.Dharam section (56 kms approx.) excluding Dharam station of Northern Railway.

The work involved mainly :


SSI at 3 stations namely Banihal3, Arpinchala, Sumber (Laole) along with modifications at Quazigund station including tokenless block working, Block Proving Digital Axle Counter system, LC gates, IPS, networked Data Loggers etc.

SDH based Optical Fibre Transmission system & equipment along with Quad cable based communication system for inter-station block working, Level crossing & Control Communication, Digital Exchange, VHF communication system over the section of 56 kms.

Provision of communication system, CCTV, PA system, Emergency Telephone & Wireless communication system in tunnels of a total of 41.2 kms in Quazigund – Dharam section of Northern Railway.

DPR, Detailed Engineering, Project Management & Construction of Coal Transportation system for Solapur Super Thermal Power Project (2x660 MW). S&T works include Colour Light Signalling, Computer based Interlocking, Multi Section Digital Axle Counter based Track Detection System of full yard.

Detailed construction, survey, design, engineering and execution of new BG Rail Link from Jogbani (Excl.) India to Biratnagar (Incl.), Nepal – 4 Stations, including planning, design and construction of all service and residential buildings, circulating area, parking, platforms, subways, shelters and other allied structures of all stations including Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication works & any other works (required for successful completion of Project).

Detailed construction, survey, design, engineering and execution of gauge conversion between Jaynagar (India) to Bijalpura (Nepal) – 4 Stations, with broad gauge line extension up to Bardibas (Nepal) including planning, design and construction of all service and residential buildings, circulating area, parking, platforms, subways, shelters and other allied structures of all stations, including Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication works and any other works (required for successful completion of project).
