IRCON has executed a large number of SSI and Relay based Interlocking Signalling installations in India, Iraq,  Malaysia and Bangladesh. It has also successfully  executed Telecommunication works for Nigeria, Turkish, Malaysia and Zambian Railways.
 

Currently it is executing No. of projects with M/s. Atkins  for the design, installation, testing & commissioning in  U.K Railways. Also  executing a signalling project in Iran.

Abroad 

Signalling

  • Electrical Signalling system for 25 stations of Iraqi Railways, (1982-85) & (1985-88),US$ 30 million.

  • Radio based CTC and Axle Counter based Block working for Zambian Railways, covering 850Km (1988-90) US$ 7.7millon.

  • Relay Interlocking at 6 stations for Bangladesh Railways  (1996-98) US$ 2 millon.

  • Model Room for Bangladesh Railways (1991-92) US$ 0.7 million.

  • Solid State Interlocking with CTC, AFTC, Axle Counter for 3 stations for Malaysian Railways (1999-2001) US$ 7.26 million.

  • Solid State Interlocking at 4 stations, & modification of existing Mechanical Signalling at 25 stations and modification of existing Relay Interlocking at 2 stations for Bangladesh Railways (2003-04) USD$ 3.16 million.

Telecom

  • Telecommunication work as turnkey contract for Iraqi Railways (1985-87) US$ 4 million
  • Telecommunication system for Railway electrification for Turkish Railways (1989-91) US$ 3.6 million.
  • Optical Fibre Communication System,  IT requirements and PABX for Malaysian Railways (1999-2001) - US$ 1. 7 million.

INDIA 

Signalling

  • Interlocking at 60 stations, more than 70% of them on 25 KV electrified route Rs.606 million (US$ 18.9 million)

  • Axle   Counter  based  Block  signalling   for  26  stations  on  electrified  route,   a developmental project, (1990-94) Rs 37 million (US$ 1.2 million)

  • Relay Interlocking at 32 stations for Captive Railway networks (1997-2002) Rs.335 million (US$9.2 million)

  • Solid state Interlocking System at Simhadri for 2 stations of Power Generation Company (NTPC) (2001-2002) US$ 1.6 million.

  • Panel Interlocking System at Talcher for 5 stations of Power Generation Company (NTPC) US$ 0.96 million.

Telecom

  • Optical Fibre based communication along electrified route on Indian Railways 432 Kms. (1999-2000) Rs.215 million. US$ 5.6 million)

  • Optical Fibre indoor equipment along electrified route of Indian Railways 1200 Kms. (1996-2002) Rs.300 million. (US$7.5 million)
  • Telecommunication facilities for Gas pipeline Authorities (1999-01) Rs. 39 million. (US$ 0.9 million)
  • OFC Communication on Ahmedabad-Baroda-Surat section of Indian Railways for commercial exploitation - 300 Kms (1999-2001) Rs. 150 million (US$ 3.75 million)
  • Indoor equipment for Indian Railways along East- Coast mainline for 600 Kms, 67 stations Rs.88.4 million (US$ 2.2 million). 
  • OFC based communication system in Jaipur - Ahmedabad section of 690 Kms of Indian Railways US$ 2.56 million.
  • OFC based communication system on Salem-Bangalore Section of South West Railway, Ballarshah-Kazipet-Bibi Nagar Section of South Central Railway, Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Barauni Section of East Coast Railways, Malda-Rajgram Section of Eastern Railways  Total cost  US $ 4.06 Million
 3. Salient features of On-going Projects

Signalling

  • Design, supply and supervision of installation of Relay Interlocking system for 25 stations on Iranian Railways 1999-2002, US $ 25 million. This also includes Cables, Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), Hot Box Detector and Flat Wheel Detector. All the supplies have been completed, client is currently doing the installation which is being supervised by IRCON. The project is being done on deferred payment basis. The progress on date in 98%.

  • Design supports for re-signalling of Rail System in U.K.. Rail Track, U.K. is spending 60 billion Pounds Sterling in the development and modernization of the Rail infrastructure. IRCON is associated with W.S. Atkins who is carrying out the Signalling works on West-Coast mainline. IRCON is not only associated in the design of the system for which an office has been set up at Sharjah, UAE but is also involved in the testing & commissioning of the systems being installed for which it has a technical team in U. K.

  • Solid State Interlocking based Modern Signalling System including Design, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning and maintenance of signaling system on Turnkey basis at Laskarpur, Rashidpur Satgaon, Srimangal, Bhanugach, Shamshernagar, Tilagaon, Langla, Baramchal, Bhatera Bazar, Maijgaon & Mogla Bazar Station of Banladesh Railway situated on Akhaura - Sylhet section of East Zone. Total cost of US $7,48 million.
